Abstract:
The present invention relates to a production method for hydrocolloids having a diverse range of hydrophobic properties, and more specifically relates to a production method for hydrophobic hydrocolloids, the production involving a step of producing a hydrophobic hydrocolloid molecule by introducing a hydrophobic molecular group into a hydrocolloid molecule, and gelling by adding the hydrophobic hydrocolloid molecule to a pure hydrocolloid molecule. The present invention makes it possible to introduce the hydrophobic molecule in a stable fashion without breakdown of the hydrocolloid molecule during the synthesis in order to introduce the hydrophobic molecule, and makes it possible to produce hydrocolloids having a diverse range of hydrophobic properties depending on the mixing ratio.
