Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for producing highly pure hydrogen gas using a simple method at low cost. The problem is solved by: a production method for hydrogen gas, characterized by reacting a "mineral ion water containing at least alkaline-earth metal ions and having a pH of 11-14" with a "mineral-supporting high-temperature-fired carbonaceous material obtained by impregnating a living-organism-derived carbon precursor with a mineral ion water and firing same at a high temperature"; a mineral-supporting high-temperature-fired carbonaceous material for the production method for hydrogen gas; and a production method for a mineral ion water for the production method for hydrogen gas, comprising dissolving, in water, at least an oxide, hydroxide, carbonate, or hydrogencarbonate of magnesium or calcium to incorporate alkaline-earth metal ions into the water, and adjusting the pH of the water, to produce a mineral ion water for dissolving a water-soluble component of an incinerated material of a living organism.
