Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method for indane carboaldehyde, comprising a step for obtaining a reaction liquid containing indane carboaldehyde by causing a reaction between indane and carbon monoxide in the presence of hydrogen fluoride and boron trifluoride, wherein the indane contains an amine, and the contained amount of the amine is less than 1000 ppm by mass.
