Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an iron fulvate production method that makes it possible to produce iron fulvate efficiently and in a short period of time. [Solution] This production method for an iron fulvate solution is characterized by comprising a device preparation step, a raw material charging step, a treatment step, and an iron fulvate solution acquisition step. The device preparation step is for preparing a treatment device that comprises: a sealed container that has a closable treatment space on the inside thereof; a steam-jetting means that jets high-pressure, high-temperature steam into the sealed container; a supply part that is for supplying raw materials into the sealed container; and a discharge part that is for discharging a treatment liquid that is generated by treating the raw materials with the steam to the outside. The raw material charging step is for charging raw materials that mainly comprise a woody material (and/or an herbaceous material) and an iron material into the treatment space of the sealed container of the treatment device via the supply part. The treatment step is for introducing steam that is at a temperature of 120°C–250°C and a pressure of 2–35 atm for the woody material and steam that is at 100°C–200°C and a pressure of 2–25 atm for the herbaceous material into the treatment space that has been charged with the raw materials and performing a subcritical water reaction on the raw materials while the raw materials are stirred to obtain a mixed solution that contains iron hydroxide fulvate. The iron fulvate solution acquisition step is for separating iron fulvate from the acquired mixed solution to acquire an iron fulvate solution.
