Title:
PRODUCTION METHOD OF LOW-EDGE V BELT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1991/014567
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A production method of a low edge V belt which comprises winding in the laminated form those members which form a stretch portion, a tensile portion and a compressive portion on the outer peripheral surface of a molding drum, molding reversely an unvulcanized belt sleeve, vulcanizing the belt sleeve, setting the vulcanized sleeve over a pair of a driving drum and a driven drum, travelling circulatingly the belt sleeve, bringing a grinding wheel consisting of a group of abrasives each having a V-shaped section into pressure contact with the surface side of the travelling sleeve on the drum to grind the V grooves, fitting simultaneously the projection of a positioning member capable of increasing gradually its fitting depth to the groove portion of the V groove and then cutting the belt sleeve. Thus a long low-edge V belt having high cut accuracy can be obtained with an improved efficiency of working.
