Abstract:
One aspect of the present invention pertains to a production method for an optical film in a solution casting film formation method, said production method comprising preparing a dope that contains a polyimide resin, a polyarylate resin, or a cycloolefin resin, at least one alcohol solvent, and at least one good solvent for the resin, casting the optical dope on a support to form a web (cast film) on the support, releasing the web from the support, and thereafter, winding up the released web, and drying the web, wherein the production method further comprises a step for, after preparing the dope, adding an additional good solvent to the dope, and a step for, thereafter, removing the good solvent.
