Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a production method for making an optical laminate film roll that achieves excellent optical laminate film feed. This production method for an optical laminate film roll has: a first application step for applying a binder composition that contains a binder and a photoalignment polymer onto a knurled oblong support body and forming a first coating film; a binder layer formation step for forming a binder layer after the first application step; a second application step for applying a polymerizable liquid crystal composition that contains a polymerizable liquid crystal compound directly onto the binder layer and forming a second coating film that is narrower than the binder layer; an optically anisotropic layer formation step for forming an optically anisotropic layer that is narrower than the binder layer after the second application step and making an optical laminate film; and a winding step for winding the optical laminate film into a roll after the optically anisotropic layer formation step and making an optical laminate film roll.
