Abstract:
Disclosed is a production method for a polyamide having a norbornane skeleton. A norbornane dicarboxylic acid compound represented by general formula (I) and a diisocyanate compound are reacted in a polar solvent. Thus, the disclosed novel production method provides a polyamide which has a norbornane skeleton and which exhibits excellent heat resistance and transparency. Also disclosed is the polyamide having a norbornane skeleton obtained by means of the method. (In the formula R1 is hydrogen or a methyl group.)
