Abstract:
Provided is a production method for a polymer latex. The production method comprises: a preparation step for reducing the weight average molecular weight of a conjugated diene polymer (A) by 20–70 mass% and thereby obtaining an organic solvent solution that includes a conjugated diene polymer (B) that has a lower weight average molecular weight than conjugated diene polymer (A); and an emulsification step for emulsifying the organic solvent solution in water in the presence of a surfactant and thereby obtaining a polymer latex.
