Abstract:
This production method for a polyolefin microporous film includes a step for supplying a polyolefin resin and a plasticizer to an extruder and melting and kneading the polyolefin resin and the plasticizer inside the extruder, wherein after the resin has been introduced into the extruder, an inert gas is supplied to the extruder from a prescribed location on the extruder while the temperature of the resin is at or below the initial oxidation temperature, and the resin composition is melted and kneaded in an inert gas atmosphere. By preventing oxidative degradation during the melt-processing of the polyolefin in the production process, the present invention suppresses the occurrence of abnormalities in the character of the resin and provides a polyolefin microporous film that has an excellent surface appearance, has excellent film strength uniformity, and can be discharged from the extruder with excellent precision.
