Title:
PRODUCTION METHOD FOR POROUS CELLULOSE BEADS AND ABSORBENT EMPLOYING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/056681
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a production method for cellulose beads of exceptional adsorption, having a porous morphology suitable for an absorbent, doing so without the use of highly toxic or corrosive auxiliary materials, and without the need for an industrially disadvantageous complex process. This production method for porous cellulose beads is characterized by including a) a step for mixing a low-temperature alkali aqueous solution and cellulose, and preparing a cellulose micro-dispersion, b) a step for adding a crosslinking agent to the cellulose micro-dispersion and preparing a mixed solution, c) a step for dispersing the mixed solution into a dispersion medium and preparing an emulsion, and d) a step for bringing the emulsion into contact with a coagulating medium.
