Abstract:
A production method for continuously cast piece which can prevent the surface
defect of a product to produce a thin sheet having a required surface quality level.
Specifically, the three-dimensional position and the size of a surface layer
defect in a cast piece are specified, the presence/absence of a surface layer
defect requiring removal is judged for the obtained cast piece surface layer
defect data based on a predetermined caring standard, and a surface layer defect
requiring removal is removed in a cast piece caring step. The caring standard
is an extraction of the surface layer defect feature of a cast piece to be turned
into the surface defect of a thin sheet which is obtained by comparing and collating
the surface layer defect data of a cast piece specifying the three-dimensional
position and the size of the surface layer defect of a cast piece with the surface
defect data of a thin sheet specifying the two-dimensional position and the size
of a surface defect in a thin sheet obtained by using the cast piece as a raw material.
