Abstract:

To obtain a raw fabric sheet (14), melted resin (13) is cooled and, at the same time, a mirror surface is transferred to the resin by pressing the resin into a sheet form. The above steps are conducted between a first metallic endless belt (36) and a mirror-finished surface of a third cooling roller (33). The sheet (14) is produced as follows: the sheet (14) is first preheated, then it is closely thermally brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of an endless belt (57) for heating, pressed while being heated into a sheet between a fourth heating roller (54) and the endless belt (57) for heating, and peeled off the fourth heating roller (54) and the endless belt (57) for heating, in that order. Because the surface of the sheet (14) is flat and smooth, air is not included between the endless belt (57) for heating and the sheet (14), no blister is not produced consequently even in high speed operation, surface roughness is extremely small, the haze is reduced, and high transparency and high rigidity can be realized.
