Abstract:
A production method for a three-dimensionally shaped object characterized by: repeating a step (i) in which a light beam is irradiated on a prescribed location in a powder layer to sinter or melt and solidify the powder at said prescribed location and form a solidified layer and a step (ii) in which a new powder layer is formed on top of the obtained solidified layer and the light beam is irradiated on a prescribed location on said new powder layer to form another solidified layer; the formation of three solidified areas - a high density solidified area, a medium density solidified area, and a low density solidified area - each having a different solidification density, in at least part of a three-dimensionally shaped object; and by the formation of said medium density solidified area such that said area forms at least part of a surface area of the object.
