Abstract:
This reconfigurable production system is configured by joining, via an interface so as to be separable, a plurality of self-traveling modules, each including a feeding shaft mechanism. The production system comprises a storage unit that stores: layout information indicating movement destinations of the self-traveling modules, said information corresponding to part information related to a workpiece to be processed; assigned job information indicating details of roles of processing steps to which each self-traveling module is assigned; and specification information regarding each self-traveling module. The production system also comprises: an upper control device that transmits the layout information and the assigned job information to the corresponding self-traveling module on the basis of the specification information; and the self-travelling modules that include the feeding shaft mechanism and a storage device that stores the information transmitted from the upper control device, that move and join with other self-traveling modules on the basis of the layout information, and that control the feeding shaft mechanism on the basis of the assigned job information to process the workpiece.
