The goal of one aspect of the present invention is a more efficient procedure for the design and fabrication of prostheses in dental therapy. Provided is a program for design of dental prostheses, for execution, by a computer, of a process wherein information relating to the shape of the area surrounding a site at which a prosthesis is to be installed is taken from a database storing data that includes the structures of a plurality of teeth including natural teeth and used to search for a plurality of tooth candidates for the site at which a prosthesis is to be installed; applying a prescribed rule to the degree of matching of the search, the plurality of tooth candidates are assigned degrees of priority; and on the basis of the degrees of priority, information relating to the plurality of tooth candidates is output.
