As a learning function, this device for estimating empathetic influence M: calculates the level of identification αl and level of difficulty βl on the basis of item response theory (IRT) for each content cl from a degree of resonance matrix Tln which associates the degree of resonance tln of each user sn; has a machine learning engine learn, for each content cl, teacher data associating level of identification αl and degree of difficulty βl with a content characteristics quantity matrix Flj associating the characteristic quantity flj of each predetermined content characteristic element vj. As an operating function, the device for estimating empathetic influence calculates, for content CE to be estimated, a content characteristic quantity matrix FE associating the characteristic quantity fj of each predetermined content characteristic element vj, and the machine learning engine inputs the characteristic quantity matrix FE and outputs the level of identification αE and the degree of difficulty βE as empathetic influence M.
