Abstract:
The present invention is applicable to the technical field of digital televisions. Provided is a program selection method for a digital television. The method comprises: establish at least one favorite program list according to a program name in an EPG system, store multiple pieces of iris information, and associate each established favorite program list with one or more pieces of stored iris information; when a digital television terminal is in a working state, a remote controller scans an iris image of a holder of the remote controller, and sends the obtained iris image to a set top box; the set top box receives the iris image, performs code conversion on the iris image to convert the iris image into iris information capable of being identified by a digital television, and sends the iris information to the digital television terminal; the digital television terminal receives the iris information, and matches the iris information with the pre-stored iris information to obtain an associated favorite program list; and display the obtained favorite program list on the digital television terminal, so that a user makes a selection to play. The time for searching for a television program by a user is saved.
