Abstract:
A programmable operation display comprises a CPU (central processing unit) connected to an external operation control unit via interface bus, means for storing graphic data of switch items, a display panel which graphically displays the switch items according to graphic data that are read by CPU from the storage means and that are input via an internal bus, and a switch which corresponds to switch items on the panel display screen and which, when operated, generates data output of the relevant item and sends it to the CPU. Upon receipt of data output sent from the switch, the CPU switches the switch item that is to be displayed on the display panel screen, and changes the content of the resulting switch output data, and further transmits the switch output data to the operation control unit and controls the display of output data that is sent from the operation control unit and that is displayed on the display panel screen. The programmable operation display is connected to a higher rank computer, and displays messages related to production control information, maintenance control and inspection.
