Abstract:
A programming assistance device (10) for assisting in creating a control program for controlling a system configured from a plurality of mechanism components is characterized by being provided with: a component information storage unit (14) which stores component information associated with each of a plurality of mechanism components from which a system can be configured, wherein the component information includes parameters for setting conditions for an operation that can be performed by the system, and also includes methods obtained by describing, in accordance with the parameters, a drive end movement that the drive device connected to each mechanism component is instructed to make in order to cause the system to perform the operation; and a control program creation unit (18) which, when mechanism components from which a system is configured have been specified and the parameters for these mechanism components have been set, creates a control program using the set parameters and the methods for the specified mechanism components.
