Abstract:
A work is conveyed by a conveyor toward a propulsion mechanism to abut thereagainst, gripped by a vice on a side of a first conveyor line and is cut at its tip end side portion into a regular-size. The propulsion mechanism advances the work against a carrying force of the conveyor to permit the vice on the side of the first conveyor line to grip the work for processing, and a series of the actions are repeated. Finally, the work is caused to advance to a side of a second conveyor line so that it is gripped by a vice on the side of the second conveyor line and the propulsion mechanism is retracted for a final processing. Instead of cutting the tip end side portion of the work for regular sizing, the tip end of the work may be made to abut against a stopper and feeding is made with a work tip end thereof as a reference.
