Abstract:
The present invention relates to a projection device and a projection method that make it possible to correct deviation from an expected value for light output, a projection module, an electronic device, and a program. Test emission of a laser beam from a light source is performed in a projection device, a correction coefficient is determined from the deviation between the light output thereof and an expected value for the light output, a pixel signal is corrected by the correction coefficient, the corrected pixel signal is output, and the deviation between the light output and the expected value therefor is thereby corrected. On this occasion, a scanning position is randomly set within a blanking area in a projection image, and the light emission intensity is set so as to match the projected image. As a result, it is possible to prevent a viewer from becoming aware of the test emission. The present invention can be applied to a projection device.
