Abstract:
The present invention provides a projection device that can be adapted to a variety of adjustments in the projection direction and that can prevent damage to the projection optical system. The projector 100 includes: a housing 1 and a cylindrical part 1A secured to the housing 1; and an optical unit 6 rotatably supported on the cylindrical part 1A. The optical unit 6 includes: a first rotation part 2 that is supported so as to be rotatable relative to the cylindrical part 1A; and a second rotation part 3 that is supported so as to be rotatable relative to the first rotation part 2. The projector 100 has a rotation-inhibition mechanism for controlling the rotation of the first rotation part 2, and the rotation-control mechanism has moving parts 5B, 5C that can move between an inhibition position for inhibiting the rotation and an inhibition-release position for releasing the inhibition of the rotation, and a driver 5D that fixes the moving parts 5B, 5C in the inhibition position when the first rotation part 2 and the second rotation part 3 reach a specified rotation state.
