Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a projection device and a projection lens that make it possible to suitably perform control relating to rotation of a projection lens. A projection device according to a first embodiment of the present invention is provided with: a housing; a power supply; a control unit; and a projection lens that is attached to the housing and that comprises holding sections, a detection unit for detecting the rotation state of the holding sections, and a lock mechanism for switching rotation of the holding sections between a locked state and a lock release state. When the rotation state of the holding sections is not a specific state, the lock mechanism does not switch rotation of the holding sections to the locked state. The specific state is a rotation state in which it is possible for the lock mechanism to switch rotation of the holding sections to the locked state. The control unit makes it impossible to perform an operation relating to the locked state or an operation for turning off the power supply when rotation of the holding sections is not set to the locked state.
