Disclosed is a projection display device which has: an electrical storage unit (204), including a storage battery; drive units (209, 210, 214, 215) that supply necessary power to parts to be used to perform projection display of an image; a residual capacity detecting unit (202) that detects the residual capacity value of the electrical storage unit (204); a connecting unit (211), which is an interface for connection with the outside such that power can be exchanged; a switch unit (206) that performs switching between the on-state and the off-state between the electrical storage unit and the drive units, between the electrical storage unit and the connecting unit, and between the connecting unit and the drive units; and an adjusting unit (201) that controls the switch unit (206) corresponding to operation mode. In the case where the residual capacity value of the electrical storage unit (204) is a previously set target value or less in normal display mode, the adjusting unit (201) requests power supply to other devices, which are connected via the connecting unit (211), from the electrical storage units provided in the devices, and at the same time, the adjusting unit controls the switch unit (206) and supplies power supplied from the devices via the connecting unit (211) to the drive units (209, 210, 214, 215).
