Abstract:
Provided is a head-up display device which has the smallest possible optical configuration while maintaining the required performance, and which has an inclined virtual image plane. This head-up display device comprises an image-forming unit (2) for emitting moving image light including image information, an eyepiece optical systems for displaying a virtual image by reflecting moving image light, and is characterized in that in a state in which the virtual image plane is inclined to display the virtual image in a range from long-range distances to short-range distances, the point on the image-forming unit that conjugates with the long-range point on the virtual image plane is optically further away from the light beam that enters the image-forming unit than the point on the image-forming unit that conjugates with the short-range point on the virtual image plane.
