Abstract:
A projection optical system according to the present disclosure is provided with: a first lens group that includes at least one lens, has a positive focal length, and focuses light from a light source into a primary image forming point, which is the image of the light source; a deflector that scans the light from the first lens group; and a second lens group that includes at least one lens, has a positive focal length, and converges the light from the deflector at a position of a secondary image forming point conjugate with the primary image forming point, the first lens group, deflector and second lens group being provided in this order from a light source side to a projection side along an optical axis. The first lens group forms the primary image forming point between the first lens group and the second lens group along the optical axis.
