Abstract:
A projection system comprises a light emitting device, a light valve, and a control device. The light emitting device emits light rays of colors at least comprising a first color, a second color and a third color, and the third color is a mixed color of the first color and the second color. The control device obtains gray scale values corresponding to colors at least comprising the first color and the second color of pixel points of an inputted image, and determines gray scale values corresponding to the first color, the second color and the third color of corresponding pixel points in a pre-displayed image according to the gray scale values corresponding to the first color and the second color. The control device controls the light valve to modulate light rays of the corresponding colors emitted by the light emitting device according to the determined gray scale values of the corresponding colors of the pixel points of the pre-displayed image, so as to form an image corresponding to data of the pre-displayed image. The present invention also provides an image modulation method applied to the projection system.
