Abstract:

This surgery support system (100) is provided with a light source (11), an imaging unit (12), a control unit (2), a memory (4), and a projection unit (3). The light source (11) emits excitation light of a prescribed wavelength. The imaging unit (12) images a medical instrument (20) in a surgical field (101). On the basis of imaging data resulting from the imaging performed by the imaging unit (12), the control unit (2) generates image data for projection. The memory (4) stores a plurality of data sets, each of which contains a plurality of pieces of shape information that represent medical-instrument image shapes. The projection unit (3) projects, onto the surgical field (101), a projection image based on the aforementioned image data for projection. On the basis of degrees of similarity to a florescence image taken by the imaging unit (12), the control unit (2) selects one of the pieces of shape information stored in the memory (4). The control unit (2) generates the abovementioned image data for projection such that an image having the shape represented by the selected shape information is projected onto the region of the surgical field (101) corresponding to the florescence image.
