Abstract:
A projection-type automobile headlight and a projection unit of a low-beam illumination system thereof. The projection-type automobile headlight comprises a first light-emitting element (1a), a low-beam mirror (2), and an optical lens (4). A reflective surface (2a) of the low-beam mirror (2) covers the first light-emitting element (1a) from above. The reflective surface (2a) of the low-beam mirror (2) is a paraboloid-like surface. A boundary line of the paraboloid-like surface is a forming line of a cut-off line. The first light-emitting element (1a) is disposed at a near focus area of the low-beam mirror (2), such that light emitted from the first light-emitting element (1a) is reflected by the reflective surface (2a), and is then transmitted, as parallel light in a horizontal direction, to the optical lens (4). A main optical axis of a lower edge of the low-beam mirror (2), the first light-emitting element (1a), and the optical lens (4) is arranged along the same horizontal line, such that light transmitted to the optical lens (4) forms an illumination light path that is refracted downwards after being transmitted from the optical lens (4). Only a portion below the main optical axis of the optical lens (4) has the illumination light path, thereby forming an illumination light pattern having a cut-off line.
