Abstract:
Provided is a projection-type display device (1) capable of optically correcting trapezoidal distortion. The projection-type display device (1) is of a front-projection type and comprises: a light bulb (11) that modulates and emits light on the basis of image data; and an image-forming optical system that projects, onto a projection plane, an optical image formed by the light modulated by the light bulb (11). The image-forming optical system comprises: a first optical system (G1) having at least one lens; and a first reflective member (R1) that reflects the light emitted from the light bulb (11) toward the first optical system (G1). The first optical system (G1) and the first reflective member (R1) are configured to be rotatable in a pitch direction and rotate in unison with the rotation, at a pitch angle 0, of the first optical system (G1). The first reflective member (R1) rotates at the pitch angle θ/2.
