Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a projection type video display device such that an imaging lens can be changed in accordance with the focal length of a projection lens. In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, this projection type video display device is configured to include: a light source; a lighting optical system for guiding the light from the light source to a display element; a projection lens attachment unit to which a projection lens for projecting the light transmitted through or reflected by the display element can be attached, the projection lens attachment unit allowing selective attachment of one of a plurality of interchangeable projection lenses to the projection type video display device; and an imaging lens attachment unit allowing selective attachment of one of a plurality of interchangeable imaging lenses to the projection type video display device.
