Abstract:
To detect a change of the position or the direction of a projector with a simple configuration. A projector 100 is provided with: a light projection unit 20 that projects an image; a projection unit main body 120 that houses the light projection unit 20; and a power supply housing unit 110 that supports the projection unit main body 120. The projector is also provided with: an image pickup unit 141 that is provided to the power supply housing unit 110 or the projection unit main body 120; and a control unit 11 that detects, on the basis of an image picked up by the image pickup unit 141, the relative positions or the relative directions of the projection unit main body 120 and the power supply housing unit 110.
