Abstract:

The present invention enables an external apparatus communicating wirelessly with a projector to communicate with a device other than the projector. A projector 1 has a projection unit 10, a communication unit 55 for communicating wirelessly with a first device 5 and communicating with a second device 7, a determination unit 34 for determining a transmission destination for the communication data received by the communication unit 55, and a control unit 30. When the determination unit 34 determines that the transmission destination for the communication data is the projector 1, the control unit 30 causes the projection unit 10 to project an image on the basis of image data included in the communication data. When the determination unit 34 determines that the transmission destination for the communication data received from the first device 5 is not the projector 1, the control unit 30 causes the communication data to be transmitted to the second device 7 by the communication unit 55.
