Title:
PROJECTOR AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING IMAGE DEGRADATION OF SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/157997
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a projector and a method for preventing the image degradation of the projector that allow uneven temperature distribution in the circumferential direction of the lens barrel of a projection lens to be eliminated and allow the degradation in the quality of a projected image to be suppressed. When an image formation panel is offset relative to the optical axis of a projection lens (15) that has a lens barrel (52) for holding a lens, the temperature rises greatly in a first portion (52A) of the lens barrel toward which the image formation panel is shifted compared to a second portion (52B) opposite the first portion. In the present invention, a temperature adjustment part (16) is provided with a cooling duct (60), a heating duct (61), a coupling duct (62), and fans (27, 28). According to the present invention, the fan takes in air through an intake (60a) of the cooling duct, and passes the air through the first portion, a light source (30), and the second portion in this order to cool the first portion and heat the second portion. Thereby, the present invention allows the temperature distribution in the circumferential direction of the lens barrel to be equalized and the degradation of a projected image to be suppressed.
