Abstract:
Provided are a projector and a method for retaining a projector that make it possible to prevent falls and possible to curb emission of noise. This projector 50 is provided with: a housing 51 that is made of resin and that has a plurality of attachment parts 511; a metal suspension plate 52 that is disposed in the interior of the housing 51; at least one metal member 53 that is disposed in the interior of the housing 51 and linked to the metal suspension plate 52, and that forms a loop shape by integrating with the metal suspension plate 52; a ground member 54 that is linked with the loop shape and grounds the metal suspension plate 52; a suspension bracket 55 for fixing the housing 51 to a wall surface or ceiling; and a fixation member 56 for fixing the suspension bracket 55 from the exterior of the housing 51 to the plurality of attachment parts 511. The metal suspension plate 52 is fixed to the suspension bracket 55 via the fixation member 56 at at least one attachment part 511.
