Abstract:
A projector and a projection system. In the projector (200), a projection light source (210), a polarized beam splitting prism (220), and a projection lens (250) are located at a first direction, and the polarized beam splitting prism (220) is located between the projection light source (210) and the projection lens (250); a polarized light conversion assembly (230), the polarized beam splitting prism (220), and an LCOS imaging chip (240) are located at a second direction, and the polarized beam splitting prism (220) is located between the polarized light conversion assembly (230) and the LCOS imaging chip (240); the second direction is perpendicular to the first direction; after the projection light source (210) emits S polarized light, the polarized beam splitting prism (220) reflects the S polarized light to the polarized light conversion assembly (230), and the polarized light conversion assembly (230) converts the reflected S polarized light into P polarized light, and then emits the P polarized light to the polarized beam splitting prism (220), so that the polarized beam splitting prism (220) transmits the P polarized light to the LCOS imaging chip (240); the LCOS imaging chip (240) modulates the transmitted P polarized light into the S polarized light and then emits the S polarized light to the polarized beam splitting prism (220), so that the polarized beam splitting prism (220) reflects the S polarized light to the projection lens (250). The projection lens (250) and the projection light source (210) are linearly arranged, and the size of the LCOS imaging chip (240) and that of the polarized light conversion assembly (230) are not large, and thus, the projector (200) is compact and reasonable in layout, small in size, and convenient to carry.
