Abstract:

Provided is a projector that is compact and that is not a hindrance when not in use, such as during transportation. A projector (2) includes a projection lens (10) and a projector body (50). The projection lens (10) has formed therein a U-shaped optical path constituted of optical axes (CL1-CL3). A lens tube (19) is a U-shaped tube. A case (55) of the projector body (50) includes a storage section (61). The projection lens (10) is stored in the storage section (61) in the vertical direction of the case (55), which is orthogonal to the optical axis (CL1), and in the horizontal direction of the case. The projection lens is supported so as to be rotatable about the optical axis (CL1) in relation to the case (55), between a first position in which the projection lens is stored inside the case (55) and a second position in which the projection lens protrudes from the case (55).
