Abstract:

A propagation delay correction apparatus comprises: means for performing a short-term Fourier transform of an audio signal, thereby generating a frequency spectrum signal; means for setting a propagation delay time for each of a plurality of predetermined frequency bands; means for calculating, on the basis of the propagation delay time set for each of the predetermined frequency bands, a phase control amount for each of these frequency bands; means for smoothing the calculated phase control amount for each of the predetermined frequency bands, thereby generating a predetermined phase control signal; means for controlling, on the basis of the generated phase control signal, the phase of the frequency spectrum signal for each of the predetermined frequency bands; and means for performing a short-term inverse Fourier transform of the frequency spectrum signal as phase-controlled for each of the predetermined frequency bands, thereby generating a propagation-delay-corrected audio signal.
