Abstract:
Provided is a propeller fan that can achieve improved performance. This propeller fan is provided with: a shaft that rotates about the center axis; and a plurality of blades that are connected at bases thereof to the outer circumference of the shaft and that extend in the radial direction. The blades each have a rear-edge-side increased area region (S2) and a front-edge-side increased area region (S1), in both of which the size of the blade in the axial direction parallel to the center axis is larger on the leading end sides than on the base sides when projected on the meridian plane including the blade center axis, and the rear-edge-side increased area region (S2) is larger than the front-edge-side increased area region (S1). The attachment angle of each of the blades with respect to the center axis increases locally so that, when the distribution of substantially linear increase from the base side to the leading end side of the blade is set as the reference, the change amount from the distribution has a local maximum value at the central position of a blade height.
