Abstract:
A propulsion device for a ship and a ship comprising the same are disclosed. The propulsion device for a ship, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a rotary shaft; a rear propeller fixed to the rotary shaft; a front propeller rotationally supported on the rotary shaft at the front side of the rear propeller; a plurality of gears which are mounted in an installation space at the rear end of a hull, counter the rotation of the rotary shaft, and transmit the rotation to the front propeller; a counter rotation unit including a gear box for accommodating the plurality of gears; a coupling unit which detachably connects the rotary shaft and the counter rotation unit and blocks the transmission of power from the rotary shaft to the counter rotation unit when the coupling unit is detached from the rotary shaft and the counter rotation unit; and a rotation prevention unit for preventing the rotation of the front propeller when the coupling unit is detached.
