Abstract:
A propulsion device for a ship is provided with a port propeller, a starboard propeller, a port propeller shaft, and a starboard propeller shaft. The port propeller shaft extends rearward from the stern portion of the ship's body and is connected to the port propeller. The starboard propeller shaft extends rearward from the stern portion of the ship's body and is connected to the starboard propeller. If the diameter of the port propeller and the starboard propeller is Dp, the distance between the tips of the propeller blades of the port propeller and the tips of the propeller blades of the starboard propeller is in the range of 0-0.5 Dp inclusive.
