Abstract:
A propylene block copolymer which comprises 60 to 85wt% of a propylene polymer component (A) and 40 to 15wt% of an ethylene/propylene copolymer component (B) and which satisfies the following requirements (I) to (V): (I) the melting temperature of the component (A) is 160°C or above (as determined by DSC); (II) the ethylene content of the component (B) falls within the range of 40 to 60wt% (as determined by 13C-NMR); (III) the component (B) has a crystallization peak within the temperature range of 90 to 105°C (as determined by DSC) and the heat of crystallization of the above crystallization peak per gram of the component (B) is 2 to 10J (as determined by DSC); (IV) the glass transition temperature of the component (B) is -50°C or below (as determined by DSC); and (V) the ratio of racemic peak intensity to meso peak intensity of ethylene-propylene linkage of the component (B) is 0.01 to 0.7 (as determined by 13C-NMR).
