Abstract:

A propylene homopolymer having high stereoregularity and high moldability into sheets or films, which is characterized by exhibiting a melt flow rate (MFR) ranging from 0.1 to 20 g/10 min, a xylene-solubles content of 6 % by weight or less and an isoblock content of xylene-insoluble components of at least 3 % by mole as determined by the formula: [IB] = [Pmmmr] + [Pmmrr] + [Pmrrm] (1) wherein [Pmmmr], [Pmmrr] and [Pmrrm] represent the relative intensity ratios (mol.%) of Pmmmr, Pmmrr and Pmrrm which are absorption intensities ascribed to isoblock chains in the 13C-NMR spectrum, respectively.
