Abstract:
Provided is a propylene-resin-adhered fiber bundle, in which the bonding force between a carbon long fiber bundle and a propylene resin is increased by associating a carbon fiber concentration with a fiber bundle diameter.
A propylene-resin-adhered carbon fiber bundle which is produced by cutting a product that is produced by adhering a propylene resin onto a carbon fiber bundle to integrate the propylene resin and the carbon fiber bundle with each other, wherein the propylene resin comprises a base polymer selected from a propylene homopolymer and a propylene copolymer and an acid-group-containing propylene resin and/or an amino-group-containing propylene resin, a sizing agent is adhered onto the surface of the carbon fiber bundle, and the outer diameter, the carbon fiber concentration and the length of the propylene-resin-adhered carbon fiber bundle are 2.8 to 4.2 mm, 5 to 25% by mass and 4 to 50 mm, respectively.
