Abstract:

Prostaglandin E1 derivatives represented by general formula (I), pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof or hydrates of the same wherein A represents ethylene, vinylene, ethynylene, O(CH¿2?)¿q? or S(O)¿r?(CH¿2?)¿q?; R?1¿ represents C¿3-10? cycloalkyl, (C¿1-4? alkyl)(C¿3-10? cycloalkyl), (C¿3-10? cycloalkyl)(C¿1-4? alkyl), C¿1-10? alkyl optionally substituted by hydroxy or C¿1-4? alkoxy, C¿2-10? alkenyl, optionally substituted by hydroxy or C¿1-4? alkoxy, C¿2-10? alkynyl, optionally substituted by hydroxy or C¿1-4? alkoxy, or crosslinked hydrocarbyl; R?2¿ represents a hydrogen atom, C¿1-10? alkyl or C¿3-10? cycloalkyl; m is an integer of from 1 to 5; n is an integer of from 1 to 4; p is 0, 1 or 2; q is an integer of from 1 to 5; and r is 0, 1 or 2. These compounds are novel PG derivatives having an excellent inhibitory effect on vascular smooth muscle proliferation and being useful as preventives for post-PTCA reconstriction.
