Title:
PROSTATE CARCINOMA DETERMINATION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/130578
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a novel prostate carcinoma (Pca) determination method and a method for determining the degree of malignancy of Pca. The present invention is an invention relating to "a prostate carcinoma determination method, comprising determining the ratio of the amount of a free prostate-specific antigen (PSA), which has a sugar chain in which a terminal sialic acid residue is bound to a galactose residue located in next to the terminal of the sugar chain through an α(2,3) bond, to the total amount of free PSAs in a biological sample and then determining that prostate carcinoma is developed or that the probability of developing prostate carcinoma is high when the ratio is higher than 40%".
