Abstract:
A device (10) for pressurized contents and an associated method. The device (10) includes a container (18) and a port assembly (28). In one aspect, the port assembly includes a body (52), a plunger (60), a seal arrangement (68), a plunger bias device (76), and a bushing (80). The plunger (60) is movable and has a conduit for contents flow. The bushing (80) moves the plunger (60), against the bias device (76), from the first plunger to a second plunger position to open the seal arrangement during movement of the bushing (80) to permit contents flow. In another aspect, the device is transportable, and a valve assembly flow controller (12) includes a valve (34), a regulator (36), and a flow meter (38). The device includes a protective housing (14), coupled to the container (18), enshrouding the flow controller (12) to protect the flow controller from impact and transmit impact forces to the container. The housing (14) is configured to permit access to the flow controller (12) and inspection of the container and port connection to verify leak tightness with the housing coupled to the container.
