Abstract:
Provided by the present application are a protection circuit of a converter, and a protection method and device. The protection circuit is used to protect a voltage source converter in a voltage source-type valve group unit of an inverter station, and comprises:
at least one bypass power electronic valve group, the bypass power electronic valve group being connected in parallel with a converter having direct current fault ride through capabilities; an anode of the bypass power electronic valve group is connected to a positive electrode of the converter having direct current fault ride through capabilities; a cathode of the bypass power electronic valve group is connected to a negative electrode of the converter having direct current fault ride through capabilities; the converter having direct current fault ride through capabilities comprises: a diode valve group and a voltage source-type valve group unit without direct current fault ride through capabilities, which are connected in series; or a current source-type valve group unit and a voltage source-type valve group unit without direct current fault ride through capabilities, which are connected in series; or a voltage source-type valve group unit having direct current fault ride through capabilities.
