Title:
PROTECTION CIRCUIT-EQUIPPED SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2002/063739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A heater (13) and a thermistor (14) are parallel-connected to form a parallel-connection circuit, and a main fuse (11) is series-connected to the circuit to form a protection circuit (6). Since a charge/discharge current runs through the protection circuit (6) in a secondary battery (5), a current is limited by the operation of the thermistor (14) when a voltage applied under abnormal conditions is comparatively low, and, when a voltage under abnormal conditions is high, the main fuse (11) blows.
